The operation of Pocillos Playa Hotel by Arenas de Puerto del Carmen S.L. starts in 2018, after a refurbishment of the former apartment complex. A 4 star hotel is created, with 76 fully equipped rooms and All Inclusive services to offer unforgettable holidays in Lanzarote.

Pocillos Playa has developed for this purpose a quality and environmental management system, structured according to the different service units. This policy is intended to be the frame of reference for the revision of the quality and environmental objectives of Pocillos Playa, whose guidelines are:

ø Implementation of staff training efforts. Comply with the requirements of the Quality and Environmental System and current regulations and other environmental requirements, as well as the commitment to pollution prevention.

Pocillos Playa feels a responsibility to protect and preserve the human rights of both the people who work in our company and those who make up the environment in which we operate. One of our objectives is to contribute positively to global efforts to ensure that human rights are understood and implemented. Have a company policy committed to fulfilling our responsibility to respect human rights.

– Engage in due diligence to identify, prevent, mitigate and account for how the company addresses its human rights impacts. Bottom-up communication procedures are in place to address any grassroots concerns.

– Avoid complicity in human rights violations.

– Investigate allegations of adverse human rights impacts.

– Provide access to a grievance mechanism to raise concerns or identify potential rights impacts. Where appropriate to do so, The Island and the Sea Boutique Hotel will engage with relevant communities and other stakeholders to better understand any questions or concerns about our activities and their potential impact. Evidence of such stakeholder consultation will be documented and reported through the established stakeholder consultation process.
